Botox

Botox treatment is the most popular injectable aesthetic treatment worldwide. Botulinum toxin is a purified protein that works by temporarily relaxing muscles, resulting in the smoothing, or even disappearance, of lines and wrinkles. Botox treatments take less than half an hour and are usually well tolerated with no downtime. That means you can return to your usual activity soon after. Effects last two to four months, but get longer with repeat treatment.

Botox is used mainly to treat dynamic wrinkles which are caused by contractions of the muscles under the skin. That makes it most suited for areas such as the forehead, brow, crow’s feet, and neck bands called turkey neck.

Dr. Adeboye is your go-to physician for Botox injection in Estevan and southeastern Saskatchewan. He is qualified for basic Botox areas, along with being an advanced cosmetic injector.

Advanced applications of Botox include use for gummy smile, excessive jaw clenching, some types of headaches (migraine and tension headaches), excessive drooling, and excessive sweating (called hyperhidrosis).

Is Botox safe?
Despite being the most popular and commonly-carried injectable aesthetic treatment, this is still a very common question.
Botox is safer than many medications known to man, and millions of injections are carried out every year. Before it became popular as an aesthetic treatment, Botox was used for many decades in conventional medicine, for example eye (ophthalmology), nerve (neurology), and general surgery specialties, and it is still finding more usefulness day-by-day.

Botox for men – “Brotox”
Yes, Botox is not just for women! Over the past decade, there has been a huge increase in the number of men receiving cosmetic treatment, particularly Botox. It is particularly important when booking the treatment to find a practitioner with experience performing the treatment on men, taking into account the difference in face shapes and location of lines. This is something we are proud to excel at.
